At Nightengale Press it's a simple process to submit your synopsis for consideration. Write approximately 300 words describing your book, making sure you are submitting an example of your best writing: correct all spelling, check your grammar and be concise. You don't need superfluous adjectives extolling your book. Be sure to begin with the title, the approximate word count, the genre, and who you believe your readers will be. Then give a clear and complete description of your book.

• For fiction titles, you do not have to outline the entire story, but you do need to capture our interest. Think in terms of writing the back cover copy and make it sizzle!
• For non-fiction titles, be sure to include the benefits your readers will gain from your book, and if your book is an autobiograph, a biography or a memoir, please indicate why readers will want to read it.
• For children's books, please indicate whether or not your book has illustrations, and whether or not you have already had it illustrated. Please realize, a professional illustrator is best. Children who draw pictures are not illustrators, and their work is typically too inconsistent in form to use in professionally made books.
